Description

Designed to not only provide additional ride height, this 3-4" BDS lift kit for Bronco and comes complete ready to perform right out of the box. The 2-piece strut spacer design maintains ride quality without overextending suspension during down travel. Also supplied are a bump stop extensions to install on each of the struts to properly limit uptravel when pushing the limits with your new Bronco. To take advantage of the suspension travel a pair of BDS performance series upper control arms (UCAs) with FK uniball joints are supplied to bolt into the factory location. Built from 1.5" OD heavy wall tubing with fully welded with integrated support gussets, these UCAs improve suspension travel while providing superior strength, clearance, and styling to the stock arms specially formed to optimize tire clearance. To provide a full solution for your Bronco, a pair of heavy duty tie rod reinforcements sleeves are also include to ensure piece of mind while you're pushing your Bronco to the limit out on the trail. These kits are spec'd to allow clearance for 35-37" tires, however 37s will require modification to the factory intrusion beams (aka the crash bars).

Important Kit Notes

** 35" Tires | 5" Backspacing recommended for clearance through full wheel travel.
* 37 Tires | Will rub front body mount through wheel travel, trimming may be required
1. Intrustion Beams will need to be removed with both of these wheel/tire combinations.
2. BDS Suspension recommends to lubricate the COM joints every oil change / 3,000 miles using either Tri-Flow Superior Dry Lubricant (No. TF21013) or CRC Dry PTFE Lube (No. 03044). The COM joints are held in using a large snap ring. Be sure to clear the COMs using a damp cloth to remove any dirt and debris in the cup and on the bottom surface in order to extend the life of the COM joint. When used in salty / a more corrosive environment, more frequent maintenance may be
required.
3. Replacement COM joints service kits are available:
BDS083204 service kit includes (1) COM joint and (1) snap ring.
BDS083203 service kit includes (1) COM joint, (1) snap ring, (1) upper misalignment, (1) lower misalignment, and (1) cap.
BDS073201 service kit includes (2) rubber bushings.
4. Do NOT hit the aluminum knuckle with a hammer to separate the ball joint. Use appropriate ball joint separation tool (OTC 204-592).
5. Will not work with models with a height sensor attached to the UCA.
6. A BASE model is considered a Bronco with struts that are BLACK from the factory. Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, and Outer Banks all come standard with BLACK struts.
7. A BADLANDS model is considered a Bronco with struts that are Yellow from the factory with the resivour pointing upwards. A Badlands is its own specific model with its own specific suspension package.
8. A SASQUATCH model is considered a Bronco with struts that are Yellow from the factory with the resivour pointing downwards.
Any model can be OPTIONED to a Sasquatch package. Sasquatch is STANDARD on Wildtrack, Everglades, and First Edition. A Badlands WITH Sasquatch is a SASQUATCH suspension package.
9. 023300 & 023301 can be used ONLY with Sasquatch Suspension Package vehicles. This kit is designed to lift the front of the vehicle 3" and rear 2".
10. CV axle nut may need to be loosened and tightened on the ground with the weight the vehicle.
11. Although 37" x 12.50 will work at ride height, the tires will still contact the front body mount and possibly rear inner fender through wheel travel and steering lock to lock. If running this size tire and using the full suspension travel, these areas must be
addressed.
12. Does not fit Bronco Sport models.
13. Tie rod end sleeve is designed for use on stock inner tie rod ends. Will not work with larger aftermarket inner tie rod ends.
14. The tie rod end sleeve will cover the threads / adjuster section of the inner tie rod to strength a potential weak point of the tie rod. With this the adjustment of the inner tie rod becomes abnormal for a standard alignment shop. To adjust the inner tie rod, depending upon how much of the inner tie rod is showing, remove the clamp on the inner boot and push the boot up towards the steering rack. The inner tie rod can now be turned in order to adjust the toe.
15. Net lift height will vary based on OE shock package (4" on base shocks, 3.5" badlands models, and 3" on Sasquatch package)
